Muscardin

Job type Test knit
Description

DESCRIPTION

Wine and knitting? Yes, please! Muscardin is a circular-yoke sweater with a colorwork motif of stylized vine leaves. Small bobbles worked in a novel way resemble bunches of juicy grapes. Leafy colorwork details on the cuffs complement the larger design on the round yoke.

Named after a rare grape variety originating from southern France, this DK-weight sweater is worked from the top down in a hybrid round yoke and raglan construction. Muscardin features a round neckline with twisted ribbing, waist shaping, and short rows to lower the back yoke.

The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Only charted instructions are given for the colorwork patterns.
