Light Speed Shawl

Job type Test knit
Description

The Backstory:

I met Michele Costa (@144stitches and @stitchandhustle)  for the first time at the Indie Untangled pop-up for Rhinebeck 2018. In fact, I met the cardboard cut out of her that was floating around. 🤣

But you know when you just click with someone in the fiber community, even when you haven’t met them yet? It’s a crazy thing that happens all over the place through social media. I’ve connected with many people from all over the world through the online knitting community, and I hope to meet most in person someday. Finally got to meet Michele at Stitch Up Brooklyn, which was such a blast!

I had the idea to use three different weight yarns for this design. You get so much texture from your rows from it while knitting garter stitch, there wasn’t much else needed to create this long and thin triangle shawl.

My one thing about knitting him: don’t worry too much about gauge. Give it a good wet or steam block in the end to really grow your row gauge and make it an easy to wear shawl. Enjoy!

Stephanie of Asylun Fibers has kits available for the shawl Saturday 9/14, and there’s a 15% off code for testers, just let us know it’s for the shawl!

The pattern will be released with kits from Asylum Fibers on the Stitch and Hustle blog. Main Photo Credit: Katiusca @betweenthesestitches
