I "learned" to knit a couple times in my younger days, but I didn't learn for real until I took a college weaving course that included a module on knitting. The joy, camaraderie, and shared creativity of the fiber arts community is absolutely contagious, and has led me to start designing my own patterns! I am deeply inspired by glowing colors (actually, non-glowing colors too) and textures that call to mind things we find in nature. I have a soft spot for geeky-themed things as well.
