Yarn Posse Designs    

Hello! My name is Kim. I'm a new designer launching my own business in the Boston area. I've been knitting (pretty obsessively) for the past couple of years and I am one of those people that wants to learn how to do all the things. In knitting, that is a LOT of things and I have a long way to go! My designs generally include clean lines and silhouettes, but usually have a "twist" to them - involving color, texture or a unique design element. I work in Finance by day and am a bit of a math nerd (reason #625 why I love knitting) - so many of my designs have a "math" component - not that you have to be good at math, but the designs themselves may employ mathematical design principles (like a Fibonacci sequence, the Golden Ratio, etc). I think this adds some interest for the knitter, and allows me to have fun indulging my nerdy side! Fun fact - when I was in high school I really wanted to be a fashion designer. So in some ways this feels like coming full circle for me! One of my favorite things about knitting is the fiber arts community in general. Yarnies, and particularly knitters, have a unique warmth and innate ability to build a community. I love being part of that community and am looking forward to building up my own contribution to the community.
