Little Ethereal (Children's Sweater)

This is the children's version of the Ethereal Sweater.  It is knit top-down and seamless and features a rolled neckline, stranded stripes and a slipped stitch pattern in the two-color yoke, a textured hem, and textured two-color cuffs.   

Sizes:  0-6 mo, 6-12 mo, 1-2 yrs, 2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, and 8-10 yrs.

Finished Measurement at Chest:  18.5 (21.75, 22.75, 25.75, 26.25, 30, 31.5) in. [47 (55.2, 57.8, 65.4, 66.7, 76.2, 80) cm]. 

Working with two colors, stretchy/flexible cast on, backward loop cast on, working in the round, slipping stitches, m1 and kfb increases, ssk and k2tog decreases, knitting through the back loop.

Needles: Sizes 0-6 mo to 4-6 yrs:  US Size 4 [3.5 mm] 16 in. [40 cm] circular needle.

Sizes 6-8 yrs to 10-12 yrs:  US Size 4 [3.5 mm] 16 in. and 24 in. [40 and 60 cm] circular needle.

All Sizes:  US Size 4 [3.5 mm] DPNs (or needles for your preferred style of small circumference knitting).

US Size 3 [3.25 mm] DPNs if desired for cuffs (or needles for your preferred style of small circumference knitting). 

Or use needle size(s) needed to obtain gauge.

Other Materials: 6 stitch markers, including 1 to mark beginning of round; tapestry needle.
