Description

This is a pattern for a long dress with lace ruffles down both sides and a lace motif at the hemline. The pattern is graded in seven sizes, and full measurements are provided below. Testers are permitted to modify the length of the garment to make a shorter dress or cover-up. 

Testers are free to choose a yarn to their liking; for those that want to use the yarn shown in the pictures, the dyer has provided a 20% off discount code.

Gauge 25 sts x 29 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

Skills required

Knitting, purling, i-cords (the neckline uses an applied i-cord for the back - instructions are provided), basic lace stitches (yarn overs, slipped stitches), basic decreases (ssk, k2tog).

 

Construction type bottom-up and seamed, neckline is worked as an applied i-cord to finish the back.
Yarn support There is a discount available for the recommended yarn!
Required or recommended yarn fingering weight - yarn choice is up to the tester
Yardage These are estimates by size (note that less yarn is needed if testers choose to make shorter garments): 2625 (2843, 3062, 3281, 3500, 3718, 3937) yards / 2400 (2600, 2800, 3000, 3200, 3400, 3600) meters of fingering weight yarn.
Tools required

US Size 4 (3.5 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE 24” (60 cm) circular.

Two stitch markers.

Two US Size 4 (3.5 mm) double-pointed needles.

Stitch holders or scrap yarn.

Yarn: if you would like to use the yarn shown in the sample, the dyer has generously provided a 20% off discount code that I can provide you on request. 

Ownership of the finished item The finished item is yours to keep.
Requirements from the maker

Provide regular (weekly) progress updates, provide progress photos, provide final photo (does not need to be modeled), provide feedback on clarity of instructions and any pattern errors noted, complete final survey. NOT required but appreciated: post photos to instagram and tag me; add project page to ravelry and link to pattern. 

Note: testers are permitted to make shorter versions of the dress! The pattern includes a tip on how to do this, and I am happy to help determine a good length.
