• Fingering yarn.
• 80% Merino Superwash / 20% nylon.
• 387yds (354m) / 100g.

My Oversized Cardi is a size S, I used (precisely) 1288yds/1178m of Pigeon as main color and 348yds/319m of Slate as contrasting color.

Total Yardage: 1475/1640/1769/1946/2102/2249yds, 1349/1500/1619/1780/1923/2057m.

3/4/4/4/5/5 skeins or approx. 1161/1290/1393/1533/1655/1771yds, 1062/1180/1275/1402 /1514/1620m of fingering yarn as main color.
1/1/1/2/2/2 skeins or approx. 317/350/378/415/448/480yds, 292/320/346/380/410/439m of fingering yarn as contrasting color.

GAUGE
We suggest swatching with one color and in the round with a steek – could be a good training.
Except for S/M, we suggest using the contrasting color for the gauge.

DIRECTIONS
Knitted top-down and seamless the straight shape flatters all body type, the increases near the edges gives you a little more draping. Finally, a button on the collarbone helps keep it close on the bust. The bamboo ribs and the color transition at the end brings a nice touch of femininity.
Special increases and decreases in the front allow for more fabric to get wrapped in. The central steek make the cardigan a great project to knit while chatting with friends. Also feel free to test the length by trying out the cardigan length a few times during the knitting!
The steek of 7 stitches is placed at the center front of the cardigan, the cut will be the before last step! I recommend doing a crochet reinforcement, but other ways are available, find the one you are comfortable with. Otherwise, you can follow those great photo tutorials for steeking: TinCanKnits or BrooklynTweed.
