Description | This is the boxy version of the Superlite top released as part of the book Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona’s 5 Cs: https://travelingyarn.com/collections/kits-sets/products/superlite-top The Boxy Superlite top has similar cap sleeve shaping but is written with straight sides and approximately 3" built in ease for a more relaxed, contemporary silhouette. Worked flat from the bottom up and seamed, with vintage inspired mosaic colorwork details. Graded to 9 sizes. This pattern is designed in Paloma, a custom milled sock weight yarn in 80% superfine Merino and 20% silk. Traveling Yarn is generously offering a 25% discount on 757 or Paloma purchased for the top [discount code forthcoming!] Paloma can be purchased here: https://travelingyarn.com/collections/shop-all-in-stock-yarn?uff_wb23bu_option%3ABase=Paloma%20-%20Fingering%20-%2090%25%20Superfine%20SW%20Merino%2C%2010%25%20Silk%20-%20463%20yards&usf_take=80 I encourage knitters to substitute other yarns and recommend another round sock weight yarn that is comfortable for next-to-the-skin wear. Regardless of the yarn chosen, use two high-contrast colors for the mosaic colorwork. If you are unsure of whether your chosen colors have enough contrast, a quick check is to take a photo of them side by side and change it to grayscale. If the two colors still appear dramatically different, you are ready to knit! |
