Job type | Test knit |
Description | Amarelle is the French name for a kind of sour cherry. The red fruit is translucent and the juice is clear. The red dots of the yoke as well as the colour of my new sweater remind me the amarelle. So, I named it after this lovely fruit. Amarelle is worked bottom-up, in one piece to the underarms. The sleeves are knit separately and then are joined to the body. After few rows we join the previously knitted ruffle and we finish the yoke with its red polka dots up to the ribs of the neckline. Stitches are picked up on the front to work the buttons bands. Gauge: 24 sts x 34 rows 14 sizes from 3 months to 10 years. |
