Farmer's Market Shawl

Job type Test knit
Description

I’ve always admired knitted mesh market bags. Farmer’s Market Shawl was inspired by a trip to a local farmer’s market one Fall morning - I was bagless, wandering around with an armful of local treats. I found myself wondering if I could use the shawl I was wearing as a bag. Or better yet, if there was a way to knit a shawl that would double as a bag.

The Farmer’s Market Shawl is knit with fingering weight yarn held double. The perfect project for that random skein you have been saving. Pair two skeins that contrast or complement each other. You can’t go wrong! Add tassels for fun and function. The weight holds the shawl in place on your shoulders and they are something to hold on to if carrying the shawl as a bag.
