Simple Sport/DK Weight Pullover with Short Row Curvature in Body

Description

The Gently Flowing Pullover is a stockinette circular yoke pullover that's worked top down. It features German short rows to create a curvature in the body. This curvature, inspired by the gentle flow from one phase of life to the next, is emphasized with the use of a contrasting color and a round of decorative eyelets. Life is always full of unexpected twists and turns, and it's important to embrace those bends in the path. This pullover marks one of those transitions for me, as I begin to design more patterns that I’m truly excited to wear and feel like "me."

 

This is a SECRET TEST knit for inTANDEM zine, meaning progress/finished photos cannot be shared online [including, but not limited to, on Ravelry, Instagram, and Facebook] until the publication has given the ok. This will be near the time of the pattern release in July/August 2023.

 

The test will begin no later than Friday, February 24; however, applicants will still be accepted after that date.

Recommended to be worn with 2"/5 cm positive ease at chest circumference. The design sample has 0" of ease on me, and it looks very nice; it will have 1-2" of positive ease on the model for the publication. If your size falls between sizes, I recommend choosing the direction you most feel comfortable with (negative ease or positive ease). It's primarily a plain stockinette pullover, so it will look nice either way!

You may use DK weight for the whole design if you'd like.

  • US 6/4.0 mm circular needle for working a small circumference in the round – traditional or flexible double pointed, two circulars, or one long circular as you prefer

Requirements from the maker
  • complete the body of the pullover and one sleeve, minimum
  • provide feedback in the chat during the test

  • WHEN THE PATTERN RELEASES (not during the test): include high quality photos, two minimum with at least one showing the pullover when being worn, on Ravelry page
