| Description | We all need something to help put us in the mood for the holidays from time to time. As I was knitting and creating the Festive Vibes Shawl, I noticed how the Spincycle Yarn paired with Moondrake’s Dark Spruce colorway was making me feel festive and putting me in the holiday mood. The sporadic lacework adds just a touch of care and grace, and this is combined with the main garter stitch and eyelet rows in a contrasting color. I love how all of these pairings created something that makes me feel festive and nostalgic when I wear this shawl. This is an asymmetrical shawl. It begins with simple garter stripes, and then incorporates some eyelet bands and two lace sections.
This shawl is worked flat from one end to the other. An asymmetric shape is created with increases in all the garter, eyelets and lace sections. The shawl ends with a final lace section, and then the shawl is bound off.
