This cute little hat is knit bottom-up, in the round, using corrugated ribbing.

The colorful CC is highlighted in vertical purl ridges against a background of stockinette stitch MC.

Decreases are worked to maintain vertical striping throughout the crown of the hat.

Finished circumference: 12.5 (13.75, 15, 16.25, 17.5) [18.75, 20, 21.25, 22.5]” / 31.5 (34.5, 37.5, 40.5, 44) [47, 50, 53, 56.5]cm.

Finished height: 5.75 (6.25, 6.25, 6.75, 7.75) [8.25, 8.75, 9.25, 9.75]”/ 14.5 (16, 16, 17, 19.5) [21, 22, 23.5, 25]cm.

To be worn with 0 - 2”/ 0 - 5cm of positive ease.

Fits approximately: baby (toddler, child, teen, adult small) [adult medium, adult large, adult XL, adult XXL].

Needles: US 5 / 3.75mm or size to obtain gauge, in 16”/ 40cm - 22”/ 40cm (depending on hat size) circular and DPNs, and US 2.5 / 3mm or 0.75mm smaller (3 US sizes) than gauge needle, in 16”/ 40cm - 22”/ 40cm (depending on hat size) circular.

Notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Yarn used for the sample: Natural Syster (250 yards / 100g; 90% Dorset, 10% Babydoll) in Marigold; and Spincycle Dyed in the Wool (200 yards / skein; 100% superwash American wool) in Eventide.

Clear photographs of finished hat(s) in good lighting. Priority will be given to tester applications with good photos on their Ravelry project pages or Instagram feed.

Test questions and concerns are to be posted in the pattern Google doc, where they will be answered within 24 hours. The yarnpond chat may be used for chatting, but all pattern corrections will occur in the doc.

When Outdoorable is published, a final copy of the pattern will be emailed or sent to their Ravelry library.

Upon completion of the test knit, test knitters will receive one additional pattern of their choice from my Ravelry shop for every hat completed by the test deadline. For example, if you complete (and post photos of) three hats by the deadline, you will receive three patterns.
