Golden Sunflower

The Golden Sunflower coaster pattern boasts nature’s brilliant colors in cheery goldenrod and majestic yellow. The flower is set in a neutral ivory background to easily match one’s home decor and style. A delightful charm is optional and can easily be personalized based on your preferences. The design allows you to give the beautiful gift of flowers for many occasions.

This is a versatile pattern that enables you to make the coasters independently or as a set with the coaster holder. Additionally, the pattern can be purposed to use up your ever growing yarn stash and extra charms that might embellish the project. Use your creativity and color palette to inspire you and yours.  

Testers should be familiar with the following Specialty Stitches and Stitch Key terms.  Testers should also be familiar with reading a crochet symbol chart.

Specialty Stitches: 

beg3dcCl – beginning 3 double crochet cluster: Ch 2, [yo, insert hook in st or space, draw up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops] 2 times, yo, pull through all 3 loops on hook, (counts as a 3dcCl)

3dcCl - 3 double crochet cluster: [yo, insert hook in st or space, draw up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops] 3 times, yo, pull through all 4 loops on hook.

3hdcCl - 3 half double crochet cluster: [yo, insert hook in hdc 3rd loop, draw up a loop] 3 times, yo, pull through all 7 loops on hook.

hdc Join - half double crochet Join: yo, insert hook in first st, yo, draw up a loop, yo with CC3 (Round 4) OR MC (Round 5), pull through all 3 loops on hook.

The tester should be familiar with performing the specialty stitches, terms in the stitch key and reading a crochet symbol chart.  I only need 1 coaster to be tested.  It would be great if you could make the holder, but if you don't have enough yarn, I understand.  I would suggest using mercerized cotton #4 as it works up very nicely.  Other cottons may be too thick and bulky.
