Job type | Test knit |
Description | The Dreamscape Sweater is knit top down seamlessly. First, the lace saddles are worked, then they’re joined to form the back and front, which are joined in the round. The sleeves are picked up and knit, with decreases to form a tapered shape. The hem, cuffs, and collar are worked in a chain link rib for added visual interest. I have to confess--I tend to get a bit restless while knitting vanilla sweaters. Lovely as they are in their simplicity, I crave a little something to keep my brain engaged. However, there are times when fields of stockinette are just what I need because it lets my mind wander and gives way to epiphanies and ideas. For my day job, I’m an author and I can’t count the number of book ideas or plot breakthroughs that have come to me while knitting stitch after stitch on autopilot. I designed the Dreamscape Sweater to be the best of both worlds. There’s the statement lace saddle shoulders that trail down the arms to keep your mind active and interested as well as a chain link rib if you want to try out a new technique, but the majority of the pullover is in sweet, simple stockinette, providing fertile ground for your wildest daydreams to take root. |

Finished measurements | 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 Each size corresponds to a finished bust circumference of 95 (105) 115 (125) 136 (149) 158 (168) 178cm or 37.5 (41.5) 45 (49.5) 54 (59) 62.5 (66) 70 inches. Note on choosing a size: I recommend 10-20cm or 4-8 inches positive ease with this garment, so the above listed sizes are designed to fit an actual bust measurement of around 73.5 (83.5) 94 (104) 114.5 (124.5) 134.5 (144.5) 155cm or 29 (33) 37 (41) 45 (49) 53 (57) 61 inches. This means that if your bust measures 96cm/38in, I recommend choosing a Size 3, which measures 115cm/45in which will have 19cm/7in of positive ease. |
