Description | As someone who reads a lot of historical romance, I’m very familiar with the Rogue archetype--a charismatic scoundrel with a flexible moral code, a sly smile, and a heart of gold. Even beyond historical romances, though, rogues are everywhere in pop culture, from Han Solo to Catwoman to Robin Hood. Like the characters their named after, the Rogue socks are charming with their distinct bubble stitch pattern and unabashedly fun (both to wear and to knit!) but they’re also practical and versatile, able to be knit toe-up or cuff-down with multiple heel and toe options to ensure a perfect fit. Because of these different constructions, I'm looking for testers to knit cuff-down and toe-up with the different heel and toe constructions to ensure the directions are clear for everyone! **Sizes** Small: 15cm/6in Medium: 18cm/7in Large: 20.5cm/8in **Gauge** 32 stitches x 44 rows per 10cm/4in on 2.5mm needles in stockinette, or size required to meet gauge. **Yarn** Fingering weight – 70-100g. The sample is knit in Knit Picks Stroll in the color Poppy. **Needles** The pattern is written using small circulars and the magic loop method, but can be worked using double pointed needles, depending on your preference. You’ll need 2.25mm needles, or size required to meet gauge. **Notions** Tapestry needle Stitch markers (2-4 recommended) Scissors Sock blockers (optional) I like to operate my test knits through a shared Canva document as I find it easier to make updates in the pattern where everyone can see them and testers find it helpful to comment directly in the document. It is possible to download a pdf from Canva, but if you have any issues doing so, I'm happy to send a pdf via email upon (polite) request! |
