Lupine Forest

Job type Test knit
Description

  • Shawl is worked as a right triangle, starting at one tip and increasing on one side only of every other RS row.
  • After the Beginning Wedge is complete, sequence continues as follows:

  1. Glacier Stripe (Color B)
  2. Insert (Color A)
  3. Spruce Forest Stripe (Color C)
  4. Insert (Color A)
  5. Lupine Stripe (Color D)
  6. Insert (Color A)
  7. Spruce Forest Stripe (Color C)
  8. Insert (Color A)

  • Repeat stripe sequence following written instructions until shawl is desired length.
  • Both Glacier Stripe and Lupine Stripe have fewer rows at first, and then more rows as the shawl lengthens
  • When working the LS stitch in the Spruce Forest Stripes, be sure to keep the long loops loose.
  • As with most lacework shawls, block vigorously to measurements in order to display the full beauty of the lace sts.
