Ewetopia Sweater

Job type Test knit
Description

The Ewetopia Sweater is a set in sleeve pullover inspired by classic cable sweater designs. The pattern is created by combining brioche cables and two color seed stitch. It is knit bottom up in pieces and seamed using mattress stitch. The body and sleeves are knit in two color brioche with brioche cables forming the patterns, with one color ribbing forming the cuffs and collar.

The pattern will be shared on Slack and all communication regarding the test will be conducted through that platform.

Please do not feel deterred to apply if you do not have experience with these techniques! I encourage you to knit fearlessly and challenge yourself to learn something new!

Requirements from the maker

I want this test knit to be a fun and supportive experience for everyone involved. Feel free to think of this like a KAL and chat, support each other, and have a good time! The test will be hosted on Slack which is a free platform where I will share the pattern and testers can discuss as a group or send messages to me privately. I will share pattern updates on Slack as needed.

I will provide a tech edited pattern and will respond to any questions or feedback within 48 hrs, but I hope to generally respond much faster.

What I ask of testers:

- Knit and block a gauge swatch and obtain the intended gauge.

- Communicate regularly on Slack and provide updates on your progress at least every two weeks.

- Contact me prior to making any changes to the pattern including changing yarn weights.

- Provide feedback on the pattern as you knit, helping make sure that the pattern is a clear as possible for future knitters as well as your fellow testers.

- If for any reason you believe that you need an extension or that you will not be able to complete the test knit, please let me know ASAP. I promise to be understanding and work with you in any way that I can.

- Take pictures of the finished garment, preferably on a person so I can see how it fits, and share them with me. I will not share pictures publicly without your permission. Sharing your pictures on social media during the pattern launch is not required, but is greatly appreciated.

- This is a public test, so you are welcome to share pictures on social media as you make progress on your project.

- If you are able to use Ravelry, create a project page for your sweater using the testing code provided.

- Complete a survey upon completion of the knitting.

- Testers who complete the sweater on time and fill out the survey will receive the finished version of the Ewetopia pattern, as well as a free copy of another one of my patterns of their choice.
