ABOUT THE PATTERN Wearing NEPHELE is like wearing a cloud. Its lightweight, drapey fabric feels incredibly soft against the skin. The boxy shape and beautiful boatneck neckline give the sweater a timeless elegance while remaining super easy and comfortable to wear. The combination of large sections of Stockinette stitch and easily memorizable cable details makes for an enjoyable knitting project—it's the perfect balance of being engaged and making good progress. NEPHELE is worked seamlessly from the top down holding two strands of yarn throughout the entire project. First you cast on the neckline and work the cable detail on the saddle shoulder. Then stitches for the front and back are picked up and both panels are worked flat and separately before joining in the round at the underarm. The body is finished off with a refined split hem and 2x2 ribbing. Finally stitches are picked up for the sleeves which are then worked top down in the round. |

This means that the garment is supposed to be 30 - 45 cm / 11.75 - 17.75 " larger than your bust circumference. Example: Your bust circumference is 97 cm / 38.25 ". Then you could choose size 6. Pictured is a size 6 on a 97 cm / 38.25 ' bust with 45 cm / 17.75 " of positive ease around the bust. IMPORTANT Knitting this sweater with less than 30 - 45 cm / 11.75 - 17.75 " of positive ease around the bust is NOT recommend, as the shoulder would not sit right and the sleeve circumference would most likely be too small. Make sure to carefully check all measurements in the schematic before you choose a size. |
