Description | The Draping Moss Cardigan is an oversized, batwing cardigan with both long sleeve and short sleeve options. Built primarily with the airy moss stitch, the piece works up quickly. Constructed with the back panel first, you work increases towards the arms and then decrease inward towards the waist. Front panels are then worked into the shoulder edges of the back panel and are constructed with a matching batwing slope under the arms. Smartly placed slip stitch rows narrow the arm opening, while still allowing for full bust coverage. The piece comes together with seaming the sides and adding a custom-length neckline border. |

Finished measurements | The cardigan is offered in 5 sizes 1(2, 3, 4, 5). This pattern was designed to be oversized and airy with a lovely drape. The oversized nature will allow each size to fit a wide range of body types. For an oversized fit similar to featured instagram photos (size 2 modeled on me with a 32 inch natural hip), you will want to select a size with the width of the bottom of the back panel (measurement A) roughly 20% larger than half of your natural hipline measurement. For a more fitted feel, you may choose measurement A to be closer to half the length of your natural hipline. Below are the actual measurements of the garment: A) Back Panel Width (flat) at Natural Hip 18.2 (20.2, 23.4, 27.4, 30.2) inches B) Short Sleeve (flat) wingspan 29 (31, 33.8, 36.2, 38.2) inches C) Long Sleeve (flat) wingspan 53.8 (55.8, 58.6, 61, 63) inches D) Collar to Waist (cardigan height) 22.6 (23.6, 24.4, 24.6, 25.4) inches Natural hip measurement 20% smaller than cardigan size 28.5 (32, 37.5, 43.2, 47.7) inches aka cardigan has 20% positive ease Natural hip measurment with 0 positive ease 35.6 (40.4, 46.8, 54, 59.6) inches |
