Diamond Lace Boot Toppers

Job type Test knit
Description

Please Note: Only One boot topper must be completed for the test!

These boot toppers can be mostly attributed to curiosity before I got into knitting as an adult, I'd never even heard of such a thing! But, thanks to the amazing pattern database that is Ravelry, I quickly found out that boot toppers are "a thing", and a thing I wanted to try out in a Canadian Winter!

Throw in some inspiration from the Pattern Muses over on Patreon, and you have a pair of Diamond Lace Boot Toppers! They're knit in worsted weight yarn, so they knit up very quickly, and take less then a skein of the recommended yarn. Any wool or wool-blend worsted weight yarn will work up well for these, though I suggest a solid or a tonal, rather then a highly variegated yarn.

Please note for the largest size, if you are a loose knitter, or are enlarging the pattern in any way, you may require an additional skein of recommended yarn.

Requirements from the maker
  • You will use your own yarn, but get to keep the finished object. As well, you will get a final copy of the finished pattern for your own use.
  • You will not share or distribute the pattern PDF.
  • You will be able to complete the test by the deadline posted.
  • If circumstances come up and you cannot complete the test by the deadline posted, you will notify me as soon as possible.
  • You will post any errors or other issues you encounter with the pattern to the testing thread.
  • If you are altering the pattern to your own preferences, please post to the chat thread, or message me here on YarnPond to confirm. I don’t usually mind alterations, but I do have to make sure that the elements of the pattern I need tested are being tested.
  • I would like to have feedback posted the chat once every two weeks, minimum, please. That feedback does not have to be elaborate, it can even be ‘I haven’t touched this since last time’.
  • Finished Projects should include a photograph, preferably modeled (if applicable) and in good lighting  I may ask for your photograph to be featured on the Ravelry pattern page if I like it, but that is not a requirement of my testers.
  • Testers should fill out the feedback questions when they have completed their project.
  • You may create a project page on Ravelry at any time you wish. Please use the Ravelry Testing code to have your project link to the pattern
