Job type | Test knit |
Description | Bright, fresh, and a little bit tart β Key Lime Pi is the perfect shawl for late spring through early fall. This half-pi shawl is lightweight and generous in size, making it an ideal layer for cool evenings by the shore or breezy summer strolls.
The design features bold stripes, cheerful bobbles, and a custom lace border created using my technique of encoded lace. Worked from the top down, Key Lime Pi begins with a simple garter tab and flows into a half-circle shape, finishing with a wide lace edge. Itβs knit in two colors β I recommend a medium to strong contrast to let the stitch patterns shine. The sample is knit in Garthenor Preseli, a soft organic wool in the colorway Tilia. Its vibrant green reminded me instantly of key lime pie and inspired the name of the shawl. Key Lime Pi is the second in my series of half-pi shawls, each one inspired by a classic flavor of pie. Every design features a custom lace pattern and seasonal flair β thank you for joining me on this journey through pi.
